Planned Lane Closures on Highway 79 Postponed, in Pinson
PINSON – The Alabama Department of Transportation announces lane closures scheduled for Friday, October 7 on Highway 79 Northbound and Southbound from Milepost 14.2 to Milepost 16.4 in Pinson has been postponed until Monday, October 10.
- Weather permitting, Highway 79 will be reduced to one lane using flagmen from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. approximately 3 miles north of Pinson. The purpose of this closure is to install asphalt pavement just south of the intersection of Highway 79 and Bradford Road near the new entrance to the Northern Beltline. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution in this area.
State Troopers will be on duty to provide safety for the traveling public as well as the construction workers.
Emergency vehicles are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and adhere to other work zone signs in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
